The Grand Hotel – nuwara eliya hotels

The Grand Hotel, an iconic Sri Lankan landmark in the high elms of Nuwara Eliya, also called “Little England” or “Switzerland of the East,” boasts a 131-year history. Sir Edward Barnes, the Governor of Ceylon, rruled from 1830 to 1850, was said to build the Barnes Hall after becoming mesmerized by the peace and beauty of the idyllic surroundings of Nuwara Eliya. A charming old English building. There is a genuine atmosphere. The space was fantastic, and we adored it.

Dinner at the restaurant was excellent, with excellent food and service. Additionally, the presentation was excellent. We had a box in the morning since we left early, which was also very good.

The Lynden Grove

A small team of employees runs the 12-room hotel quietly and efficiently. Outstanding housekeeping. The food was excellent, with options for breakfast, including two from the East, and several options for dinner. Lunch was rice and curry from Sri Lanka, which was delicious.

In Nuwara Eliya, having hot water and clean bathrooms is crucial. Everything is offered. The manager made a special effort to see to the visitors’ needs. I needed a three-wheeler for a separate tour, and the guy recommended offered excellent service at an excellent price.

The tranquil city of Nuwara Eliya is home to Heaven Seven Hotels, which is surrounded by lush vegetation. All public spaces have free wifi, and each guestroom has a private balcony. The distance between the lodging and the Royal Colombo Golf Club is 1.6 kilometers. All rooms have a flat-screen TV, dining areas with an oven and a dishwasher, and panoramic mountain views. This hotel was suitable for travelers with a private tour guide and driver. Although the room was comfortable, it lacked a fan, air conditioner, or refrigerator, which can occasionally be challenging if you need to keep medications cold. Being at a higher elevation meant the weather was more relaxed, so it wasn’t too bad. Even though there weren’t many options on the menu when we had our meals included, there were still some good options for dinner and breakfast. I suggest this hotel to other tourists.
